Meyers, Christmas Valley, and the county areas of South Lake Tahoe are a great place for people who would like to be near the happenings of town, but want a little more mountain feel. The houses typically are newer and have larger lots than the town areas. There are many places where you can find river views, forest views or properties that back up to Forest Service land. Like most places in the Tahoe area, these areas have plenty of great access to most outdoor activities. There are 3 ski resorts within a short drive, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, and river sports.
